NAE Enhances Partnership with Champions of Free Enterprise for 2022 (Posted November 17, 2021)
The National Association of Entrepreneurship announced this week enhancements to Community Stars program. This program run in conjunction with the Champions of Free Enterprise is on the move. The program will support groups dedicated to teaching vital Free Enterprise lessons to sixth to twelfth graders.
“The younger generation needs to know why things work and why they fail; what’s good for prosperity and what undermines or destroys it,” say's Maggie Smith, NAE Member “If they don’t understand these things they won’t be able to sustain and build on the blessings of liberty — and the institutions supporting prosperity will crumble.”
Today, large numbers of Americans reject or don’t understand basic truths, because they haven’t been taught the incredible, positive tale of Free Enterprise and its profound benefits. They no longer recognize the enduring principles of free enterprise; too many in our society have forgotten its important lessons and our world’s need for it. Worse, the principles of free enterprise that were historically protected are now under assault. Part of the assault is ignorance, and that is no more prevalent than in the younger generations. They simply don't understand Free Enterprise.
“It doesn’t matter why our youth don’t understand these things.” says, D. David Champions of Free Enterprise Member “They must understand them for their own future. Their future depends on it. America’s future depends on it.”
Community Stars grants are available to municipalities, counties, school districts, special-purpose districts, tribal governments, and other private and public entities, as well as church and homeschool groups,non-profits and community groups working with students, age K through college.
